The F1 Calendar has been slimmed down from 24 to 22 races on the 2026 Calendar after the Grand Prix's Bahrain and Saudi Arabia have been cancelled.
The Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix scheduled for April 10-12, and the STC Saudi Arabian Grand Prix in Jeddah on April 17-19, have both been officially cancelled by F1 due to ongoing wars in the region.
F1 will now have a break for the month of April, allowing teams to head back to base and improve their cars to be able to compete with Mercedes and Ferrari at the top.
Teams that will be most excited for the break include Red Bull, McLaren, and Aston Martin, who all need to drastically improve their cars to be able to compete in races.
F1 will be in Japan on March 26-28 for the Aramco Japanese Grand Prix, and not return until the Crypto.com Miami Grand Prix until May 1-3. The Miami Grand Prix will be contested at the Miami International Autodrome in the United States.
