The signing of Omur was viewed as one of the biggest coups of Acun Icali's stint as owner when he arrived at the club in February 2024.
A Turkish international with UEFA Champions League experience, Omur was once one of the most highly-rated youngsters in world football and was linked with moves to both Manchester City and Liverpool after a breakout season at the age of 19.
As such, he was expected to hit the ground running when he joined the Tigers from Trabzonspor.
However, recurrent knee injuries limited his involvement and he struggled to make an impact in the Championship under successive managers and subsequently returned to Turkey on loan - first with Caykur Rizespor and later with Antalyaspor.
A report from Hull Live revealed that Jakirovic is ready to offer Omar a second chance at Hull, with the diminutive playmaker set to join up with his team-mates for pre-season next month.
Omar hasn't played for Hull in more than 18 months, but remains under contract with the club until next summer, with Hull holding an option to extend the deal for an additional 12 months.
