Liverpool's hunt for a Mohamed Salah replacement continues amid reports that Yan Diomande has chosen to join Paris Saint-Germain in the event that RB Leipzig sanction a sale.
The Ivorian international's decision comes as a major blow for the Reds, who made the winger a primary target in their bid for attacking reinforcement.
Liverpool have already confirmed the £34.5m addition of Spanish winger Victor Munoz -- who is competent on both the left and right flank -- but the uncertainty concerning the futures of Cody Gakpo and Federico Chiesa means that the Merseyside outfit are expected to explore more options to bolster their forward line.

Bradley Barcola
Liverpool's long-standing interest in Bradley Barcola is well documented, with Fabrizio Romano reporting as early as last summer that the Frenchman is on the club's radar.
While the inability to secure Diomande's signature is an almighty blow for the Reds -- who had seemingly outlined him as the ideal Salah replacement -- the Ivorian's pending arrival at PSG could open the door for Barcola to leave.
It's worth noting that the 23-year-old has played most of his minutes on the left flank, but he is capable on the other side -- scoring seven goals and registering 15 assists in 37 appearances at right-wing.
PSG reportedly value Barcola in excess of the £116m that Man City are set to pay for Elliot Anderson, and so it's yet to be seen as to whether they'll stretch to that price or opt for a cheaper alternative who has room for development -- similar to the approach that they took with the signings of Salah, Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino.
Yankuba Minteh
Explosive, direct and raw, Yankuba Minteh's profile is very similar to that of Mane's when he left Southampton to join Liverpool in 2016.
The Gambian winger enjoyed an impressive debut campaign with Brighton in the Premier League -- scoring six goals and registering four assists -- but he didn't quite reach the same heights in 2025/26, recording just seven top-flight goal involvements.
There are signs there to suggest that -- with some technical refining -- his game could enhance significantly, boasting pace in abundance and effective at timing his runs in behind the opposition's defence.
If it is that the Reds revert to their former technique of recruiting raw talents for lesser fees with an eye to developing them, Minteh could be one to watch in the market.
Said El Mala
Said El Mala enjoyed a stellar 2025/26 campaign with FC Koln and is reportedly amongst the names being considered by the Reds.
The 19-year-old scored 13 goals and recorded five assists in 34 Bundesliga games last term, with the majority of his minutes coming off the left flank. His versatility allows him to play both centrally and on the right however, a proficiency that could add to his value.
The German forward plays with no fear and is renowned for his direct approach to dribbling, but -- at 19 -- there is a chance that Liverpool's ownership seek a Premier League proven attacker to accompany El Mala in the summer transfer window.
Crysencio Summerville
Jarrod Bowen was initially the West Ham forward linked with a move to Anfield, but his Hammers teammate Crysencio Summerville has now moved into 5/2 to make the Merseyside switch following reports that the club have looked at the Dutchman's situation.
The versatile winger has impressed for Netherlands at the 2026 World Cup, registering two goals and two assists before his nation crashed out of the tournament to Morocco in the Round of 32.
Summerville famously ended Virgil van Dijk's remarkable 70-match unbeaten record at Anfield in the Premier League when scoring an 89th minute winner for Leeds United in front of the travelling supporters in October 2022.
The 24-year-old was a shining light in a dismal 2025/26 campaign for West Ham, and the Reds may sense that they can strike a reasonable deal for the forward following the Irons' relegation to the second flight.
