Liverpool are set to sign Spain international Victor Munoz from Osasuna.
The 22-year-old enjoyed an impressive 2025/26 season for the La Liga outfit, captivating the interest of Spain manager Luis de la Fuente, who called him up to represent the nation at the 2026 World Cup.
While Newcastle United were strongly linked with the winger, Liverpool appear to have hijacked the deal and look set to sign the former Real Madrid man.
Read on as we tell you all you need to know about Liverpool target Munoz.
Born on 13th Junly 2003 in in Barcelona, Catalonia, Victor Munoz is 22 years old.
It was initially reported that Newcastle would need to pay in excess of €30m to secure the services of Munoz, though Liverpool look set to pay closer to €40m (£34.5m), while the winger's former club Real Madrid boast a 50% sell-on clause.
Munoz has seen his minutes split across the left and right-wing this season and the Barcelona-born forward is capable of playing through the middle.
Standing at 5ft 8ins, Munoz is of a slight build.
Munoz is right-footed, frequently cutting inside when operating on the left and often going around the outside when employed off the right, but he is competent on his weaker left foot.
Munoz is a high-energy winger renowned for his direct approach to dribbling, constantly eyeing up his defender and backing himself in one vs one scenarios.
It's his explosive pace that makes him so hard to defend, proving incredibly fast off the mark and making unpredictable movements. While some wingers are guilty of being one-dimensional, Munoz flourishes both on the touchline and when receiving the ball in between the lines.
The 22-year-old has the ideal off-the-ball skillset to thrive in an Andoni Iraola system, proving relentless in the press and never shy of aiding his full-back in defensive situations.
While Munoz's goal contributions weren't outstanding in the 2025/26 La Liga campaign, scoring six times and registering two assists, he frequently gets into goalscoring positions and in a team with enhanced quality in the final third, his numbers could improve significantly.
Munoz joined Barcelona's La Masia at the age of 11 after starting out with Sant Gabriel, but he left the Catalan giants' youth setup aged 14 to join CF Damm.
He spent four years with CF Damm before joining Real Madrid in 2021. He got his first taste of senior football with Los Blancos' second reserve side, RSC Internacional, before making 63 appearances for Real's B team.
One of just two Real Madrid appearances for Munoz came in La Liga against former club Barcelona in May 2025.
In July 2025, Munoz joined fellow La Liga side Osasuna for a €6m package deal, and he is set to leave the club after just one full season.
Munoz made his senior debut for the Spain national team on 27th March 2026, scoring in a 3-0 win against Serbia.
Just four days later he made his second appearance for Luis de la Fuente's side, playing 45 minutes against Egypt.
He impressed so much in the March internationals that he was included in Spain's squad for the 2026 World Cup, accompanying Lamine Yamal and Nico Williams in the forward department.
