World Cup Group B: Teams, Schedule, Outlook & Odds for 2026

Co-hosts of the 2026 World Cup, Canada, headline Group B alongside Switzerland, Bosnia & Herzegovina, and Qatar.

Switzerland are the big favorites in Group B, but host nation Canada can not be counted out. Neither can UEFA side Bosnia & Herzegovina who eliminated Italy from the 2026 World Cup in the UEFA Playoffs to book their ticket to the nations second ever World Cup.

Bosnia & Herzegovina Eliminate Italy from their Third Consecutive World Cup.

Switzerland holds all of the experience in Group B, qualifying for more World Cups (13) than the rest of the group combined (7).

The most exciting players from Group B are Canada's Alphonso Davies, Swiss legend Granit Xhaka, and Bosnian wonderkid Esmir Bajraktarevic.

Canada

Canada - 2026 World Cup

The Canada National Team officially qualified for the 2026 World Cup as one of the tournaments three host nations, along with the United States and Mexico.

Led by American head coach Jesse Marsch, Canada possess their deepest team ever entering the tournament. Jonathan David will lead the line, with Davies bombing down the wings, Moise Bombito in the center of defense, and Ismael Kone possessing in the midfield.

Qatar

Qatar

Qatar have earned their second World Cup qualification after making their first appearance as the host nation of the tournament in 2022.

Qatar were eliminated in the group stage of the 2022 tournament, and will be looking for revenge in 2026. Led by winger Akram Afif, Qatar have the lowest odds to win Group B

Bosnia & Herzegovina

Bosnia & Herzegovina

Bosnia & Herzegovina have also qualified for their second World Cup, and prior to 1990, Bosnian players represented the former Yugoslavia.

Bosnia have a very experienced international team, led by captain and all-time leading scorer Edin Dzeko, and defender Sead Kolasinac.

21-year-old Bajraktarevic is an exiting player to watch, jumping on the scene in MLS with New England Revolution before moving to Dutch club PSV. The youngster was crucial to Bosnia's qualification and is electric with the ball at his feet.
