Mohamed Salah and the Pharaoh's of Egypt will face Argentina in the 2026 World Cup round of 16 on Tuesday, July 7th.
Mohamed Salah, 34, is Egypt's all-time leading scorer with 66 goals in 118 matches. The former Liverpool winger will look to propel Egypt to their first ever quarterfinal match in a World Cup.
The "Egyptian King" has led his country to it's first World Cup knockout stage birth in 2026, and will look to continue that good fortune in a matchup with the reigning World Cup champions, Argentina.
Salah has scored one goal so far in tournament, finding the back of the net against New Zealand in the group stage. He has also provided two assists.
Egypt has only won one of their four games thus far in regulation, drawing the other three. The Pharaoh's reached the round of 16 by eliminating Australia in the round of 32 via penalties. Salah played all 120 minutes of the match and converted his penalty in the shootout.
