Following a 71-60 romp on Sunday, the Valkyries can take a commanding lead over the Aces on Wednesday. Golden State is now 3-0 at home in the playoffs, having defeated Dallas twice at the Chase Center in round one.

Despite Sunday’s hiccup, this is a matchup in which the Aces know they can be successful. In fact, they swept the Valkyries in three regular-season meetings. Las Vegas prevailed 91-81 on the road on May 31 and then twice at home in June – 84-79 and 92-73.
It is hard not to be impressed by this franchise’s recent playoff history, too. The Aces have won three of the last four WNBA titles and have not seen a season come to an end prior to the semifinals since 2018. Golden State’s roster, of course, has far less experience on this kind of stage. In fact, this is just the franchise’s second season in existence after making the playoffs last year and falling to Dallas in the opening round.
Every time they suit up, the Aces have the best player on the floor in A’ja Wilson. She has earned WNBA MVP honors – all in the last four years – and is a two-time WNBA Finals MVP to go along with being a three-time champion. Wilson averaged 26.2 ppg, 9.4 rpg and 3.2 apg this season and scored 24 points in the series opener last weekend.
Las Vegas Aces vs. Golden State Valkyries Over 157.5 (-110)
Golden State put the clamps down defensively in Game 1, holding Las Vegas to just 60 points. However, that appears to be an aberration as opposed to the rule. The Aces previously scored 102, 89 and 94 points against the Wings in round one. Head coach Becky Hammon’s crew also led the Western Conference in scoring during the regular season at 91.5 ppg.
The three regular-season encounters between these two teams resulted in 165, 163 and 172 points. In eight meetings all time, only twice have fewer than 163 points been scored.
All things considered, the over looks like the play to make as a buy-low opportunity at 157.5 following the low score in Game 1. It also correlates nicely with backing the Aces to win, because a high-scoring affair is likely if they manage to control the tempo. The visitors do not want to engage in another slow, defensive-minded slog with an opponent like the Valkyries.

Chelsea Gray Over 11.5 points (-110)
Gray has been in outstanding form of late. The Aces’ veteran guard has scored double-figures in seven consecutive contests dating back to the regular season, including playoff outputs of 14, 10, 23 and 16 points.
Gray delivered 16 points in Game 1 of this series despite shooting a modest 5-for-14 from the floor. It should also be noted that Gray has finished with double-digit field-goal attempts in five of the last six games.
