Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua are finally set to let their gloves do the talking when the long-term heavyweight rivals collide in one of the most hotly-anticipated fights in a generation later this year.

Two of the sport's biggest names are set to do battle in a blockbuster winner-takes-all showdown in Cardiff in the early hours of Saturday, December 12 after an agreement was reached the the Principality Stadium to host the gargantuan event.

However, before then, we have all of the excitement of the build-up to look forward to, starting with the inaugural press conference, which is scheduled to take place on Wednesday.

Of course, there had been significant doubt thrown over the staging of the fight over the weekend after esteemed boxing reporter Mike Coppinger claimed Eddie Hearn was threatening to pull AJ out of the proposed bout due to a number of unspecified "issues" -- news Fury responded to with an x-rated social media rant.

However, it appears as though progress has since been made with regards to ironing out the discrepancies, with the full expectancy being that the scheduled launch press conference will take place.

It was confirmed last week that the launch press conference for Tyson Fury vs Anthony Joshua would take place on Wednesday 30th September, 2026.

The event, which is expected to see both fighters in attendance, is scheduled to be staged at the British Airways Arc in London.

There was talk that the media briefing could be cancelled over the weekend with Hearn unhappy that certain elements of the agreement he signed not being met, though it now appears as though it is all systems go.

Given the significant interest in the fight, all of the major sports broadcasting giants are expected to show segments of the press conference live, including Sky Sports.

Sky Sports News and DAZN have already announced they will show the event live on their official YouTube channels, whilst Netflix, the broadcaster of the fight itself, will also stream the press conference in its entirety.

Will Dana White be at the Tyson Fury vs Anthony Joshua press conference?

Negotiations over the fight reportedly hit a significant roadblock over the potential involvement of Dana White and Zuffa Boxing in the fight.

While Joshua’s promoter, Hearn, firmly opposed White’s participation, Turki Alalshikh contradicted this position by announcing that UFC supremo White would actively collaborate on promoting the historic event.

White is not expected to be in attendance on Wednesday evening.
