Dundee United welcome Rangers in the Scottish Premiership opener at Tannadice Park on Friday night.
After an impressive revival under the stewardship of Danny Rohl last campaign, the Gers tailed off in the latter stages of the season, finishing third in the standings and eight points behind league-winners Celtic.
The Teddy Bears head into the new campaign with a new man at the helm however, with Derek McInnes succeeding Rohl in the Ibrox dugout following the German's departure to Austrian Bundesliga outfit Red Bull Salzburg.
Rangers won just one of their opening eight top-flight games in the 2025/26 term -- an immediate setback in their pursuit for the Scottish Premiership title -- but they'll no doubt have faith that a strong start to the upcoming campaign can aid their objective of dethroning Old Firm rivals Celtic.
McInnes' selection for Rangers' final pre-season friendly against West Ham could be somewhat of an indication as to what team we could see at Tannadice Park on Friday.
Ivor Pandur -- who joined the Glasgow-based outfit frum Hull City in the summer transfer window -- is expected to get the nod in between the sticks, while tried and trusted full-back pairing Dujon Sterling and Tuur Rommens are likely to start.
Emmanuel Fernandez, who impressed in his debut campaign for the club, is likely to be partnered by loan signing Ben Godfrey at the heart of defence.
A new look midfield for the Gers could see Dan Neil and Cammy Devlin take shape in the engine room. Neil joined the club on a free transfer in the summer window -- ending his eight-year spell with the Sunderland first team -- while Devlin followed in the footsteps of McInnes, joining from Hearts following the expiry of his contract.
Findlay Curtis and Djeidi Gassama occupied the wing positions against West Ham last time out and they're expected to retain their places.
Lawrence Shankland may be deployed in a second striker role to accommodate for Youssef Chermiti, who could lead the line in the Scottish Premiership opener.
