It appears to be a straight two-player shootout for the Scottish Premiership top goalscorer gong this season, as far as the bookmakers go anyway.
Both Celtic and Rangers have strengthened their frontlines this summer with reigning champions capturing former Bodo/Glimt ace Kasper Hogh for a club record fee, whilst their Old Firm rivals Rangers have recruited ex-Hearts hit-man Lawrence Shankland.
The 30-year-old frontman led the pre-season betting after bagging 16 goals for the title outsiders in 29 league appearances last term, but we currently have a new favourite in the shape of Hogh.
The Denmark international fired a blank of his hugely-anticipated Bhoys debut against Dundee on the opening weekend of the season, but bounced back emphatically - rifling home a stunning 30 minute treble to help his new side see off Kilmarnock a week later.
His exploits at Rugby Park have elevated him above Shankland in the betting, for the time being at least.
