Aston Villa will look to build on their superb UEFA Champions League win against Fenerbahce when travelling to Newcastle on Saturday evening.
Unai Emery's side ran out 6-0 winners against the Turkish outfit to put their indifferent Premier League form behind them. Villa have won just one of their opening six league outings -- against struggling Tottenham -- but might fancy their chances of a positive result against Newcastle.
While the Magpies made a promising start under Matthias Jaissle, Newcastle have lost 4-1 in two of their last three games, and Gavin Horsfall, Matthew O'Regan, Mark Stinchcome and Nathan Joyes on the Football Betting Club are happy to oppose the hosts with a 20/1 Bet Builder.

Gavin said: "It was impossible to describe just how bad Newcastle were on Monday night. I keep hearing this new manager, it's a process of development, but I don’t know what part of that development they’re at, they all end up putting Dan Burn up front late on, don’t they? I don’t know what coaching badge that is, but no matter what ambitions you've got, everyone defaults to that when they’re the Newcastle manager.
"I think Villa just win here, don’t they? They won 2–0 at St James’ Park back in February. Those Brighton and Arsenal defeats don’t look that bad now, do they? Neither does the 2–2 draw at home to Brentford last weekend. Newcastle were 2–0 up at home to Hull after 10 minutes, and then Hull were all over them in the second half.
"Give me 2/1 on Unai Emery against Matthias Jaissle, who's just finding their feet in the league. I think that’s a good price. So, we’ll kick off with a Villa win."
Matthew said: "I’m backing Nico González card. He’s a player I quite like backing for cards when he's not ridiculously short. He committed 10 fouls in four Premier League starts this season, 1.72 fouls and 0.34 yellow cards per 90 minutes in the Premier League last year.
"He has a great career record prior, whether that be Porto, Valencia or even Manchester City, and it’s an angle I like backing a lot. Eight central midfielders have been booked against Villa so far this season, so Gonzalez to be carded."
Mark said: "I saw Gav was hot on Villa, so I thought let me find a Villa goalscorer, or to assist or have a shot. I landed on Johan Manzambi to have over 2.5 shots at 10/11.
"He has only started two games for Villa, but he’s an absolute shot machine. He played 72 minutes at Spurs, he got a goal and assist, and had four shots. He played 86 minutes at home to Brentford, he got an assist and had a whopping seven shots.
"I don’t know if Emery is going to have a word with him, but so far he’s a shoot-on-sight merchant. Other than his goal against Spurs, his average xG per chance is just 0.05. He’s just picking the ball up and letting fly from whatever position he’s in.
"This should hopefully work perfectly because Newcastle have conceded the second-most shots in the league, at a whopping 17.7 per game."
Nathan said: "That feeds lovely into mine. I’ve gone for Aston Villa to have over 12.5 shots. It sounds like Stinch’s selection could get half of those himself, but this is a bet that has landed three times on the road for Aston Villa. Last time out at home, they had 20 shots against Brentford.
"I feel like this shots line is really underrated in the Premier League. I put Bournemouth up at over 12.5 against Newcastle a few weeks ago, and they cleared that by half-time. I’m used to South American lines being over 20.5, which is always really high, but I find Premier League lines can sometimes be a little low.
"Tottenham last weekend was another example. Looking at away teams in the Premier League, perhaps that’s another angle we need to consider more on the show.
"So, over 12.5 shots for Aston Villa in three consecutive away games. We know what Newcastle have been like, so we’re going very much anti-them."
Aston Villa have kept one clean sheet in their last 13 Premier League games
Aston Villa have scored eight goals in their last three Premier League games
