England secured their passage to the World Cup semi-finals following a hard-fought extra time victory over Norway in Miami.
In the oppressive heat of the Sunshine State, Jude Bellingham scored twice as the Three Lions came from behind to topple plucky dark horses Norway after Andreas Schjelderup had put the Vikings ahead with a sensational strike.
Bellingham restored parity moments before the half-time interval with a sublime solo goal and with nothing to split the sides after 90 minutes, the Real Madrid superstar popped up again three minutes into extra time as Orjan Nyland spilled Morgan Rogers' audacious effort into his path.
It's only the fourth time in World Cup history that England have progressed to the last four and they will be looking to go one step further than the teams of 1990 and 2018 by reaching the final.
However, England boss Thomas Tuchel will be demanding an improved performance.
The German coach told ITV: "We made life very, very difficult for ourselves today. The result is fantastic. We are in the last four. It's amazing but not happy with the performance - in every sense.
"The commitment is there but we made life difficult for is in the way we played and how we played. We were sloppy, a lot of technical mistakes, not fast enough, not repetitive enough. We were lucky today."
In an attritional affair, England dug deep to prevail and the manner in which they conquered Mexico at the Azteca before braving the conditions in Miami to eliminate Norway showcased the character within the squad.
