Rangers and Ipswich Town are reportedly looking to sign Hearts striker Claudio Braga this summer.
Portuguese media outlet Jogo have claimed both teams are interested in signing the 26-year-old.
It is said that Ipswich have already made a bid in the region of £9.5 million but Rangers are looking to hijack the deal.
The fee in question could prove to be the stumbling block for Rangers, while Ipswich have plenty in the pot following their promotion to the Premier League.
A move to Rangers would anger Hearts supporters who are already coming to terms with the loss of their manager and captain.
Rangers swooped to secure the services of Hearts striker Lawrence Shankland at the end of last season, before returning to appoint Derek McInnes as their new manager.
McInnes is now reportedly keen to reunite his two main strikers from last season as Hearts came agonisingly close to winning the league title.
Braga has instantly become a fans favourite at Tynecastle after joining the club last summer.
His name has regularly been sung from the terraces and he scored 17 goals in 43 matches in all competitions.
A move to Ipswich would also make sense as the club looks to stay up in the Premier League, with new manager Gary O'Neil tasked with building on the excellent work of Kieran McKenna.
