Sunderland, Leeds United and Bournemouth are all reportedly interested in signing Sassuolo defender Tarik Muharemović this summer.
Muharemović has been at the 2026 World Cup this summer where he was part of the Bosnia-Herzegovina team that reached the knockout stages.
Sunderland and Bournemouth have been at the front of the queue to sign the centre-back, but Leeds have now joined the race according to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano on his official X account.
"EXCL: Leeds United also enter the race to sign Tarek Muharemović as new centre back from Sassuolo.
"Bournemouth and Sunderland called over recent weeks; Juventus have to decide as they maintain 50% sell-on clause."
Muharemović has made 17 appearances for his country and he has also developed into one of the most impressive Serie A defenders.
The 23-year-old, who was born in Slovenia, spent two seasons with Juventus' development team after arriving from Austrian side Wolfberger.
He was loaned out to Sassuolo during the 2024/25 campaign and he then joined permanently last summer after the club were promoted to the top-flight.
He has played 63 times for Sassuolo and the quality of his performances have caught the eye of the Premier League trio.
Sunderland and Bournemouth are both looking for defensive reinforcements as they prepare for UEFA Europa League fooball, while Leeds are striving to acquire a replacement for Pascal Struijk following his move to Brighton & Hove Albion.
