Celtic will kick-off their Scottish Premiership title defence on home soil when they host Dundee on the opening weekend of the new season.
Martin O'Neill's side produced a grandstand finish to the 2025/26 campaign, reeling off seven successive league victories to pip Hearts, who they beat in a tense and dramatic final day shootout, to the title.
The Bhoys have been installed as favourites to maintain their domestic stranglehold too with O'Neill having recently been announced as boss for at least one more year.
The revered Northern Irishman will be keen to ensure a triumphant start to the new term against a Dundee side who they haven't failed to beat at Parkhead in the Scottish Premiership since April 2018.
In the eight years since that goalless draw, Celtic have reeled off eight straight home victories against them, scoring an impressive 31 goals in the process an average of almost four a game.
Last term, Daizen Maeda's 11th minute effort proved to be the difference on a cold and blustery afternoon in the Scottish capital, although encounters between the pair prior to that had been far more one-sided.
The Hoops have hammered six or more in against the Dee on three occasions since 2018, suggesting there could well be some value found on the handicap.
Whilst Dundee have enjoyed the odd success on home soil, they haven't reigned supreme in a league away fixture against Celtic since the 2000/01 campaign when a Fabian Caballero brace recorded them a famous 2-0 win.
The new Scottish Premiership campaign gets underway on Friday 31st July with Celtic v Dundee set to take place on Sunday 2nd August and being screened live on Sky Sports.
