2026/27 Scottish Premiership Fixtures: Derek McInnes Rangers set for Friday night curtain-raiser at Dundee United

The 2026/27 Scottish Premiership fixtures have been released with Rangers set to embark upon the Derek McInnes era with an opening night encounter against Dundee United.

The clash at Tannadice Park will get underway at 20:00 (BST) on Friday 31st July and will officially signal the start of the new season with the other 10 top-flight clubs set to begin their seasons over the same weekend.

Scottish Premiership champions Celtic, who pipped McInnes former club Hearts to the league crown by just two points last term, will round off the opening weekend of action with a home clash against Dundee.

Sandwiched in between the two Old Firm clubs openers are Falkirk v St Mirren and Aberdeen v Hearts on Saturday 1st August, as well as newly-promoted St Johnstone v Kilmarnock and Hibernian v Motherwell on Sunday 2nd August.

It's also been announced that Sky Sports will broadcast all six opening weekend fixtures for the first time, with every match set for its own unique start time.

The first Old Firm match of the season will be at Celtic Park on Sunday 20th September, also live on Sky Sports at 12:00 (BST) and the maiden Edinburgh derby is scheduled for Easter Road earlier on in the same month.

Meanwhile Dundee United will host Dundee at Tannadice over the weekend of 22nd / 23rd August.
