Aston Villa and Chelsea are reportedly interested in securing the signing of winger Jonathan Rowe from Serie A side Bologna this summer.
Rowe scored eight goals in 42 appearances for Bologna across all competitions in the 2025/26 season, with the club finishing eighth in the Serie A table.
After progressing through the youth system at Norwich City and enjoying a breakthrough campaign with 13 goals in the Championship during the 2023/24 campaign, Rowe secured an eye-catching loan move to Marseille the following summer.
Rowe's loan move was made permanent following an obligation to buy clause for €15 million, but he soon found himself leaving France following an altercation with French international Adrian Rabiot.
Following Bologna's failure to qualify for Europe for the first time in three seasons, Italian news outlet Il Resto Del Carlino have reported that the club are considering cashing in on the winger after just one season.
Bologna have sold a number of players to Premier League clubs in recent years, with Dan Ndoye leaving for Nottingham Forest, Joshua Zirkzee joining Manchester United and Riccardo Calafiori earning a move to Arsenal.
Former England Under-21 international Rowe could be the next man through the exit door, with Aston Villa and Chelsea reportedly amongst the teams who could be set to pounce.

Their main priority will be keeping hold of star man Morgan Rogers but they are looking for more options regardless of Rogers' future.
A move to Chelsea would be more curious given that they have a number of wingers with similar abilities in the form of Alejandro Garnacho, Jamei Gittens and Pedro Neto amongst others.
