Epsom Oaks odds: Ryan Moore pilots Aidan O'Brien favourite

Ryan Moore is set to partner Amelia Earhart (2/1) in Friday's Oaks.

The Ballydoyle filly starred when winning the Cheshire Oaks early last month, underlining her Classic credentials.

She is one of three Aidan O'Brien contenders hoping to give the master trainer a historic 12th win in the race after connections opted not to declare Irish 1000 Guineas victor Precise following her brilliant Curragh success.

Cameo (15/2) and Sugar Island (20/1) will instead make up the remainder of the Ballydoyle triumvirate at the Surrey track on Friday.

The main opposition to O'Brien's battalion comes in the form of Juddmonte filly Legacy Link (7/2) who last produced an extremely taking performance to land the Musidora Stakes at York.

She looked to stay on really powerfully that day when getting the better of the reopposing K Sarra (16/1) and the extra furlong-and-a-half in the Oaks could eek out further improvement.

Another O'Brien, this time Joseph, also makes his way over the Irish Sea with Classic-winning claims. Thundering On (11/2) looked to have improved significantly from her seasonal return when winning the Salsabil Stakes last time out but does have a slightly stamina question to answer.

She steps up to 12 furlongs for the very first time after racing at a mile for the majority of her career.

Another intriguing addition to the race is 1000 Guineas third Venetian Lace (12/1). Her effort at Newmarket last time out smacks of a horse that will relish a hike up in trip and, being a daughter of Masar, she is certainly bred for the task.

The Charlie Jonhston-runner will have to prove she is up to this grade though, given she is now without victory in seven visits to the track.
