The United States have experienced a dream start to the 2026 World Cup.
The United States Men's National Team have cruised to two early victories in the World Cup group stage, and have clinched a berth to the knockout stage of the tournament.
The USMNT dominated their opening match against Paraguay, winning 4-1, and controlled the game against Australia in their second match for a 2-0 victory. Pochettino's side will now face a talented yet winless Türkiye team in the final match of Group D.
Mauricio Pochettino's team have looked fluid in the attacking third while maintaining stability in the defensive half. After already clinching the Round of 32, the USA will surely rotate the starting lineup in hopes of avoiding major injuries to their star players.
Christian Pulisic will have another day to rest his calf after being pulled at halftime against Paraguay and missing the match against Australia. Pulisic is dealing with a minor left calf injury, but is fit ahead of the Türkiye game after returning to full training.
Arda Güler and Türkiye will be hungry to get at least a point from the 2026 World Cup after losing to both Australia and Paraguay. This Turkish team contains loads of talent but have not been able to find the back of the net on 62 total shot attempts (13 on target) across both games. Team USA has been clinical, scoring 6 goals on 26 shots.
Türkiye have dominated both matches thus far, and may do so again against a rotated American lineup, but the question is whether they'll be able to beat NYCFC goalkeeper Matt Freese and score their first goal of the tournament.
The USA will face Türkiye at the Los Angeles Stadium on Thursday, June 25.
Kickoff is scheduled for 10:00 PM ET (9:00 PM CT / 8:00 PM MT / 7:00 PM PT).

The USA will likely rest many of their star players for the final match of Group D, particularly Pulisic, Tyler Adams, and Folarin Balogun.
Sebastian Berhalter will be primed to start in the midfield for Tyler Adams, as the only other option off the bench, Cristian Roldan, is doubtful with a muscle injury.
Giovani Reyna will be eager to start against Türkiye and add to his World Cup goal tally after scoring the fourth and final goal against Paraguay in the opening match.
Tim Weah is a like-for-like replacement for Sergino Dest on the right wing with his ability to get up and down the pitch in a hurry.
