Mathew Ryan (104 CAPS) is creeping up on Mark Schwarzer's all-time appearance record for Australia, but the legendary Tim Cahill's goal record looks to be safe for at least the rest of the decade.

31-year-old Jackson Irvine is the closest active player to surpassing Cahill's record, but the midfielder would need still need 36 goals to knock Cahill out of that spot in history.

Team History

The Australian National Soccer Team was founded in 1922, and joined FIFA in 1966. The Socceroos qualified for their first ever FIFA World Cup in 1974, and achieved their highest finish (round of 16) in 2006, and 2022.
