Uroš Medić Record

Medić (13-3) has quietly become one of the most impressive Welterweight fighters on the roster, so there is no surprise he has moved up to #14 in the division rankings.

The Serb earned a UFC contract in August 2020 after dismantling Mikey Gonzalez by KO/TKO in the Lightweight division at a Dana White Contender Series 4.1 event.

This led him to his UFC debut in March 2021, where he defeated Aalon Cruz by KO/TKO, also in the Lightweight division.

Medić then suffered his first UFC setback in the Lightweight division, losing to Jalin Turner by submission in September 2021, but he quickly bounced back from this loss, beating Omar Morales in the Lightweight division by KO/TKO in May 2022.

Following the win against Morales, Medić moved to the Welterweight division, beating Matthew Semelsberger by KO/TKO in July 2023. He then suffered his second UFC loss and first in the Welterweight division in November 2023, a defeat to Myktybek Orolbai by submission.

Once again, Medić bounced back from this loss, beating Tim Means by KO/TKO in April 2024, however, following his ‘Performance of the Night’ against Means, Medić lost his next fight to Punahele Soriano by KO/TKO in January 2025.

At this point, Medić was 5-3 in the UFC, but not really making much noise in the Welterweight division.

That said, something clicked after his loss to Soriano, as Medić has now won his last three UFC fights in a row.

This run is made up of a win over Gilbert Urbina by KO/TKO in August 2025, a victory against Muslim Salikhov by KO/TKO in November 2025 and a success against Geoff Neal by KO/TKO in February 2026.

With that three-fight winning streak, Medić is now 8-3 in the UFC and, as mentioned, is the #14-ranked fighter in the Welterweight division.

The most impressive feat for Medić in his UFC career is that all 11 of his fights have been decided inside the distance.

To this point, Medić has won eight times by KO/TKO, while having lost twice by submission and once by KO/TKO. Further, eight of his 11 UFC fights have ended in the first round, with two reaching the second round and just one reaching the third round.

Medić now has a genuine chance to move up the UFC Welterweight division rankings, as he is set to take on the #15th-ranked Welterweight fighter, Daniel Rodriguez, in his next fight.
