Previewing the WBC Title bout between Canelo Álvarez vs. Christian Mbilli, including date, time, venue, and how to watch.
Mexican superstar Saúl 'Canelo' Álvarez is set to return to the ring this weekend, aiming to reclaim the WBC super middleweight championship by handing unbeaten French contender Christian Mbilli the first defeat of his career.
Álvarez previously held the WBC's iconic green-and-gold belt before dropping it 13 months ago to Terence Crawford in a monumental undisputed title showdown. Following Crawford's unexpected retirement from boxing earlier this year, Mbilli took over as the division's reigning champion and will now step into the squared circle for his inaugural title defense.
Canelo Álvarez vs. Christian Mbilli Date and Venue
The championship clash between Álvarez and Mbilli, featuring a stacked undercard, takes place on Saturday, October 31, 2026. The main event action will begin between 4:30-6:00 PM Eastern, preceded by the main card fights around 2:00 PM Eastern Time.
The showdown will be staged at the Kingdom Arena in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Since opening its doors in 2023, the state-of-the-art, 30,000-capacity venue has established itself as a premier destination for elite international boxing, previously hosting major bouts featuring the likes of Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua.

The entire card will be broadcast globally on DAZN Pay-Per-View (PPV), available as an additional purchase for current subscribers.
Main event ring walks are tentatively scheduled for around 4:00 PM Eastern Time, though the precise start time will depend on the duration of the preceding undercard bouts.
