The Detroit Pistons staved off elimination with a Game 6 victory in Cleveland, and they have home advantage for a decisive Game 7, with a place in the Eastern Conference Finals up for grabs.
The Pistons went into Game 6 as underdogs, but they kept themselves in the NBA Playoffs on the road for the second time this season. After fighting back from 3-1 down against Orlando in the first round, they should be comfortable with a home Game 7 to progress.
Their comeback lines up with what we expect from this Cavs team, given James Harden’s playoff resume. He put up 23 points in Game 6, but he’s failed to hit 20 points in four of his last five Game 7s, including 9 in an elimination to the Celtics, and last year’s seven-point showing in last year’s exit against the Nuggets.
It took the Pistons until Game 6 in the last round to really figure out the Magic, but they closed that series with comfortable wins. The Cavaliers fell 115-94 in Game 6, and the Pistons should emerge as comfortable winners after winning by seven points or more in five of their last six home games.
Given Harden’s struggles to score in elimination games, the Pistons look good to cover. The Cavs offensive struggles mean there’s appeal in Detroit holding the visitors to under 100 points.
Jalen Duren has struggled to transition into the postseason, going from 19.5 points per game to 10.5. However, there’s reason to believe he can have a better showing in Game 7.
Duren finished Game 6 with 15 points, shooting 7-10 from the field. He scored 12 points in the Game 5 win over the Magic in the last round, while he scored 15 in the Game 7 decider.
For all the size the Cavs possess, they don’t exactly stop players driving towards the basket. Duren seems to have figured that out, and he can top 11 points on Sunday.
Robinson’s line looks impacted by his injury status, but he played through injury in Game 6 after missing Game 5. The former Miami Heat shooter scored 14 points to help Detroit to victory, making four of his seven attempts from three.
Robinson has scored double figures in nine of his last 11 games in this postseason, making 38 threes across 11 appearances. The Cavs have struggled to deal with him throughout, and he’s made at least three shots from deep in five of six home appearances in this playoff campaign.
Robinson’s ability to get layups and make free throws can help him clear eight points, but he’s also good value to score three or more threes.

Larry Nance Jr has been listed as doubtful for the Cavs, but he’s played only five total minutes in this playoff run.
The Pistons have listed Duncan Robinson (lower back soreness), Caris LeVert (heel contusion), and Kevin Huerter (left adductor strain) as questionable for Game 7.
Huerter was the only one of the trio to miss out in Game 6, but Robinson started the game on the bench after starting throughout this playoff campaign.
