Manchester United and Portugal's attacking midfielder Bruno Fernandes (+1000) is tied for the shortest odds with Bayern Munich and France's midfielder Michael Olise (+1000) to lead the World Cup in assists.

Bruno is coming off the back of a record setting Premier league campaign where he racked up a remarkable 21 assists, surpassing the record of 20 which was previously set by Thierry Henry, and later tied by Kevin De Bruyne.

Olise also had a spectacular season, providing 19 assists in 32 matches in the Bundesliga. Olise only has three assists in 17 matches with France, but the 24-year-old's form heading into the World Cup is too good to overlook.

18-year-old Lamine Yamal and 38-year-old Lionel Messi are both priced at +1200 to lead the competition in assists. Yamal is already compared to Messi at such a young age. Yamal will be Spain's most important player at the tournament, while Messi is still the leader of an aging Argentina squad.

Other players expected to log multiple assists in the tournament are Jeremy Doku (+1400) and Kevin De Bruyne (+2000) of Belgium, Florian Wirtz (+2000) of Germany, and Nico Williams (+2500) of Spain.
