Max Holloway (27-9-0) is one of the most popular fighters on the UFC roster, and lost his BMF title on the line against Charles Oliveira at UFC 326 on March 7.
Holloway won the title when knocking out Justin Gaethje at 2025’s flagship UFC 300 event.
Winning the fight comfortably on the scorecards, the Haiwan native pointed to the canvas for the American to throw down at the end of the fifth and final round, subsequently knocking out Gaethje with a second of the bout remaining.
Holloway’s next fight saw him move back down in weight to face Ilia Topuria for the Featherweight title, a belt Holloway made four successful defences of between 2016 and 2019.
A TKO defeat in the third round cemented Holloway’s decision to move up to the 155lb division permanently, where he made his first BMF title defense when outpointing Dustin Poirier in the final leg of their trilogy.
The pair's first fight was Holloway’s debut in 2012, when Poirier won by first-round submission.
Holloway went 3-3 in his first six UFC fights, but his fortunes changed following a 2013 loss to Conor McGregor.
A six year, 13 fight undefeated run followed, which ended in 2019 when he stepped up in weight to face Poirier for a second time, being outpointed and missing out on the Interim Lightweight title.
In winning and defending the Featherweight title, Holloway defeated some of the best to ever do it in the division including Anthony Pettis, Jose Aldo twice, Brian Ortega and Frankie Edgar.
Holloway’s 145lb title run was ended by Alexander Volkanovski in 2019, the first of three defeats against the Australian.
The self proclaimed "best boxer in the UFC” remains one of the most stylish on his feet as his career enters a new chapter.
A 2021 masterclass against Calvin Kattar was perhaps Holloway's peak striking performance, with recent wins over fellow greats Poirier and Gaethje a clear reminder that at 34 years old, he still has plenty more big nights ahead of him in his new weight class.
It is estimated that Blessed has a net worth of $5m.
Holloway lost his BMF title against Charles Oliveira at UFC 326 on March 7 at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada in his last fight.
Holloway is actively campaigning for a rematch with Conor McGregor for his next fight, but no official fight is scheduled for Holloway.
