Jonathan David's Odds to Score for Canada vs. Qatar

The World Cup continues to roll on, and Canada's Jonathan David will look to score his first goal of the tournament against Qatar on Thursday, June 18th.

The Canadian Men's National Team earned their first World Cup point last Friday, thanks to Cyle Larin's 78th minute equalizer against Bosnia & Herzegovina.

On paper, Qatar is Canada's best chance to pick up three points, but the 2022 hosts did manage to tie the Group B favorites, Switzerland, last time out.

Canada defeated Qatar 2-0 in September of 2022, marking the first and only meeting between the two nations. Jonathan David scored one of the two goals in that match, and he'll be looking to do the same in the second meeting with Qatar.

David made his senior debut for the Canada men's national team in September 2018, quickly establishing himself as a top attacker. He has since become Canada's all-time leading goalscorer, a remarkable achievement for a player of his age.

David has scored 39 goals in 78 appearances, but has yet scored a single goal in the World Cup. He also has not scored in seven consecutive games for club and country.
