Cowboys vs. Eagles Preview & Injury Reports

The (2-4) Dallas Cowboys will face the (2-4) Philadelphia Eagles tonight in a NFC East showdown on Monday Night Football at Lincoln Financial Field.

The Philadelphia Eagles have several key players on the injured reserve, but there are fresh signs of hope, with star running back Saquon Barkley listed as questionable for tonight's game against the Cowboys.

The teams depth has been tested heavily this season, with quarterback Jalen Hurts out for what is expected to be the remainder of the season. Two key wide receivers DeVonta Smith and Dontayvion Wicks, and two vital running backs, Saquon Barkley and Tank Bigsby, have been battling injuries.

Unfortunately for Eagles fans, It doesn't end there as the Eagles' offensive line is thin due to retirements, trades, and injuries weakening an already depleted offense.

Will Saquon Barkley play tonight?

Saquon Barkley has suffered a few injuries to start the 2026 season. He sustained a stinger at the beginning of the Eagles' Week 2 matchup against the Titans, then returned in Week 3. However, during Week 4 against the Rams, Barkley pulled his hamstring on the Eagles' second drive. He participated in practice this week and is expected to play in tonight's game.

When will DeVonta Smith Return?

DeVonta Smith is ruled out of the Eagles' Week 7 Monday Night game against the Cowboys. He returned Week 6 against the Panthers, catching seven passes for 75 yards and a touchdown before experiencing a hamstring flare-up ahead of the Dallas game. The Eagles have not placed Smith on injured reserve, so he is considered week-to-week heading into Week 8.
