Barkley is an explosive runner who is always a threat to score no matter the field position. Barkley has exceptionally quick feet to make sharp cuts that make him impossible to tackle in the open field.
His agility allows him to create something out of nothing, as he can evade defenders in the backfield and turn a negative looking play into a positive play.
Barkley also has plenty of strength - he can lower his shoulder and run through arm tackles as he trudges his way through the front seven to reach the open field.
His receiving skills are excellent as well, showcased by his 91 receptions in his rookie year.
After the Super Bowl, the Eagles gave Barkley a two-year contract extension worth $41.2 million. This extension made him the highest paid running back in the NFL and, per year, is the most lucrative deal for a running back in history.
