The BC Lions enter the matchup on a five-game winning streak most recently defeating the Ottawa Redblacks 45-24 on August 30.
The BC Lions quarterback returned from a shoulder injury on August 8 after missing two games. Nathan Rourke won the 2025 CFL Most Outstanding Player award and is driving force in the team's high powered offense. His ability to extend plays and make throws downfield keeps the BC offense moving, especially if they can establish consistency early.
Meanwhile, the Montreal Alouettes have enjoyed a dominant season. They currently lead the East Division with a 9-2 record, having recently suffered their second loss of the season in a 28-44 defeat to the Blue Bombers. Their quarterback Davis Alexander went down late against the Blue Bombers holding his knee and suffered a minor injury. He was a limited participant in practice on Tuesday but is expected to play in Friday's game against the Lions.
After starting the season 0-3 the Lions continue to build on their strong performances to reach a 6-5 record, currently sitting third in the West Division. Montreal will be aiming to get back in the win column.
In Canada, viewers can watch the game on TSN, while fans in the United States can watch on the CFL+ platform.
