The Edmonton Elks secured a home playoff game after defeating the Hamilton Tiger-Cats 27-12 on October 9, marking the first time since 2015 that the Elks will host a postseason game at Commonwealth Stadium. Edmonton is looking to complete a three-game sweep of the series against Winnipeg. A win over the Blue Bombers can clinch the top spot in the West Division and a bye into the West Division Final.
One the other side, the Winnipeg Blue Bombers enter another must-win game. If the Blue Bombers win one of their final two games, they can clinch a playoff spot. If they lose to Edmonton, they can still clinch a playoff spot if the Calgary Stampeders lose on Saturday.
Defeating the Elks will be a tall task for the Blue Bombers, but if they can carry the same momentum from last week's high-stakes 33-28 victory, anything is possible.
Quarterback Zach Collaros is back healthy after missing two weeks, coming off a stellar performance where he completed 19 of 27 passes for 349 yards and two touchdowns. Collaros will be looking to channel that same form against the Elks tonight and lead the team to its 10th consecutive playoff appearance.
