2026 World Cup Golden Glove Odds: The Tournament's Best Goalkeeper

The World Cup Golden Glove is awarded to the tournament's most outstanding goalkeeper.

The winner of the Golden Glove is determined by the FIFA Technical Study Group, who evaluate a number of factors including clean sheets, saves, and overall team impact.

It was first awarded in 1994 in honor of legendary Russian goalkeeper Lev Yashin, and was officially named the 'Golden Glove' ahead of the 2010 World Cup in South Africa.

The favorite to win the Golden Glove at the 2026 World Cup is Emiliano Martinez of the Argentina National Team. Martinez was awarded the trophy at the 2022 World Cup for helping his team lift the trophy in Qatar.

Emiliano Martinez (+400) is the favorite to win the Golden Glove in 2026, and is the clear No. 1 for the reigning Champions Argentina.

The expected starter, Unai Simon (+500), for the tournament favorites Spain has the second best odds to win the Golden Glove this year, but Arsenal's David Raya (+800) is lurking in the shadows on the Spanish National Team bench looking to take over the role as the team's No. 1.

A similar situation awaits Alisson (+550) and Ederson (+800) on the Brazil National Team. Alisson is expected to be the primary choice for Carlo Ancelotti this summer, and has been the primary choice for a majority of the players' careers. Alisson has made 76 appearances, while Ederson has on appeared 31 times for Brazil.

Mike Maignan (+600) of France, and Jordan Pickford (+700) of England have the next best odds to win the Golden Boot in North America this summer. Both players of excellent shot stoppers and have been the clear first option for their national teams in recent years.

40-year-old German legend Manuel Neuer (+1600) is ninth, but a few poor performances could see Oliver Baumann (+2000) take his spot in the team. Neuer has not appeared for the German National Team since July of 2024, but is likely to make the World Cup roster after another impressive season with Bayern Munich. Neuer is one of the greatest to ever play the position, so he could very well start over Baumann.

The United States' National Team starter Matt Freese (+4000) is a dark horse candidate for the Co-Hosts. The New York City FC keeper has established himself as the team's starting in a very crowded position for the Stars and Stripes.

Mexico's Guillermo 'Memo' Ochoa (+8000) is on the brink of making a record breaking sixth World Cup roster at 40-years-old after a injury to Mexico's No. 1 Luis Malagon will keep him out of the squad.
