Wycombe Wanderers are reportedly looking to clinch a deal for Exeter City striker Jayden Wareham.
Journalist Pete O'Rourke has reported that the Chairboys have made an offer for the 23-year-old frontman.
Wareham joined Exeter on a two-year deal for an undisclosed fee from Reading last summer.
After scoring just seven goals for the Royals during the 2024/25 season, he enjoyed a breakthrough campaign for the Grecians last season.
He scored 19 league goals which was bettered only by Leyton Orient striker Dom Ballard, but his goalscoring prowess was unable to keep Exeter in the division.
Despite being linked with various EFL clubs during pre-season, Wareham has so far remained at St James Park.
He started in the club's opening League Two fixture at the weekend as his side lost 1-0 away at Grimsby Town.
Keeping hold of Wareham is likely to be key to Exeter's hopes of success this season, but a sizeable offer could be too much to turn down.
Wycombe will be hopeful of challenging for a play-off place in League One and the potential acquisition of Wareham would be a significant boost for manager Michael Duff.
