Wrexham are reportedly considering a move to bring Sheffield Wednesday goalkeeper Pierce Charles to the club next season.
Charles is seemingly closing in on a move to Manchester City in the coming days following reports that a medical has been arranged.
The 20-year-old was one of the standout players for Sheffield Wednesday in a torrid 2025/26 campaign on and off the field.
His performances have caught the eye of the Premier League giants who are keen to wrap up a deal.
West London Sport have reported that Wrexham are monitoring the situation with a view to securing a loan move.
It remains to be seen whether Man City would be open to immediately loaning Charles out once they have completed a deal.
The situation is likely to depend on the future of current number two James Trafford.
The England international joined the club from Burnley last summer but he immediately found himself displaced as the club's number one following the subsequent signing of Gianluigi Donnarumma.
If Trafford does move on then a move for Charles becomes slightly more difficult and Wrexham will be hoping that they can take advantage if the situation develops.
Wrexham boss Phil Parkinson is believed to want a new number one goalkeeper next season as he looks to launch a bid for a play-off place.
However, it is believed that Queens Park Rangers are also interested in the Northern Ireland stopper as they look to strengthen their goalkeeping options with at least one new signing.
