Wrexham, Birmingham City and Sheffield United are reportedly considering a move for Rapid Vienna midfielder Romeo Amane.
The 23-year-old joined the Austrian outfit in January 2025 after arriving from Swedish side BK Hacken.
The combative midfielder featured 36 times in all competitions last season but he is yet to make his debut for the senior Ivory Coast team.
He boasts experience in both the UEFA Europa League and UEFA Conference League and is believed to be keen on pursuing a move to England.
Football Insider have reported that a trio of Championship clubs are currently in the race to secure his signature.
Amane has primarily been used as a holding midfielder at his current club, with the ability to break up play and also dictate proceedings from a deep-lying role.
It is an area that Wrexham, Birmingham and Sheffield United are all looking to strengthen in as they prepare for pre-season.
Each of three clubs missed out on the Championship play-off places last season, with Wrexham missing out by two points on the final day.
Birmingham and Sheffield United in particular will be expected to fair better ahead of the new campaign and a top-six challenge will be the minimum criteria for both sets of owners.
The trio have all been keeping tabs on Amane in recent times and Rapid Vienna could have an opportunity to ignite a bidding war in an attempt to secure the highest possible fee.
