Leeds United have drawn up a list of potential candidates to replace Dutch defender Pascal Struijk as he closes in on a move to Brighton.
Should Struijk's move to the south coast materialise, he will prove a huge miss for Daniel Farke after a solid return to the Premier League in the 2025/26 campaign.
He joined the club from Ajax in 2018 for a reported £1m fee and he featured in 34 of Leeds' 38 top-flight games as they secured their status in England's leading division last term.
While the 26-year-old is set to replace Jan Paul van Hecke in the Seagulls back line, Leeds will now seek defensive reinforcement as they gear up for a second successive season in the Premier League.
TEAMtalk have reported that Wolves defender Ladislav Krejci is a "strong contender" to make the Elland Road switch following relegation to the Championship.
The Czech centre back played in a Wolves defence that conceded 68 goals in the top-fight last campaign, but he was one of the club's more consistent performers.
Wolves triggered the £26m buyout clause to permanently sign the defender last summer and they are likely to want to make their money back on the 27-year-old.
Leeds could face competition for the Wolves man however, with Newcastle reportedly "keen" on Krejci as they seek a much-improved summer window than last year.
TEAMtalk added that Krejci is not the only defender on the Yorkshire outfit's radar, with Danilho Doekhi -- whose Union Berlin contract expires at the end of the month -- and Borussia Monchengladbach's Nico Elvedi amongst those being considered.
While Doekhi will be available on a free transfer after a solid season in the Bundesliga, a deal for Elvedi "could be done for around £9m".
