Luis Suarez (not that one) is reportedly the subject of interest from Premier League clubs.
The Colombia international has been lighting up the Portuguese first division with Sporting Lisbon this season and has apparently caught the eye of both Liverpool and Newcastle United.
With quite the name to live up to if a move to Anfield does materialise, we take a look at what he could offer to Premier League sides...
Born in Santa Marta on 2nd December 1997, Suarez is Colombian.
Just last summer, Sporting paid €22.95m to bring Suarez to the Portuguese capital and they would almost certainly make a profit if they opted to sell at the end of the season.
Suarez signed a five-year deal with the club and, according to Transfermarkt.co.uk, he is valued at €28m.
Suarez, earlier his career, sometimes featured on the left wing, however, since moving to Sporting he has played exclusively as a striker.
Standing at 5ft 11ins, Suarez is of a muscular build.
Suarez is right-footed but has proven to be very capable on his weaker left.
The 28-year-old has an extremely strong all-round game, highlighted by the seven assists to go alongside the 33 goals he has scored this season.
Suarez, as well as being very effective when challenged with holding up the ball, is also capable of dropping deep; often turning sharply in order to find a pass and bring a teammate into play.
It is in front of goal that Suarez shines, however. He is currently the leading goalscorer in the Portuguese top-flight with 24 strikes to his name, outperforming his expected goals figure of 18.84.
This is now the second consecutive campaign that Suarez has surpassed the 20-goal mark after amassing 27 league goals for Almeria in 2024/25.
Six goals in just 10 La Liga starts the campaign prior suggested that Suarez could be capable of becoming a regular goalscorer but his performances across the last two years have provided cast iron proof.
Suarez has played football in his native Colombia, Spain, France, Portugal and even had a brief stint in England with Watford, despite never making an official appearance for the London club.
Granada made Suarez their record signing when they paid the Hornets €10m for his signature in 2021 but it never quite clicked for the Leones academy product.
Following an unsuccessful spell with Marseille, Suarez made the move to Almeria where he would enjoy the most fruitful period of his career so far.
He would net 41 goals for the club now part owned by Cristiano Ronaldo before securing a big money move to Sporting after the conclusion of 2024/25 season.
Suarez has been capped nine times for his country, scoring four goals in the process.
