Five wingers that Liverpool could sign this summer

It's all change at Anfield this summer and signing a top winger is surely high up on the priority list.

The Reds look all set to appoint Andoni Iraola as their new manager after parting ways with Arne Slot off the back of a disappointing season that saw them finish a lowly fifth in defence of their Premier League title.

Iraola -- who had already announced that he was leaving Bournemouth this summer -- will not only have to get to grips with his new surroundings pretty quickly, but will also be tasked with finding a replacement for club legend Mohamed Salah.

The Egyptian is set to leave Anfield over the next few months, leaving Liverpool with a lack of options out wide, especially off the right.

There is also a chance that Cody Gakpo leaves the club this summer, presenting further issues on the opposite flank.

We assess a handful of options available to the Liverpool hierarchy ahead of the upcoming transfer window...

Yan Diomande

Yan Diomande is a name on the lips of many heading into the summer.

Quick, agile and able to operate on both flanks, the Ivory Coast international has enjoyed a breakout season with RB Leipzig after joining from Leganes last summer. The 19-year-old racked up 20 goal contributions in just 28 Bundesliga starts and looks sure to star at the World Cup for his country.

Just one year into a contract that runs up until 2030, it will take a monster bid to secure his services.

Jarrod Bowen

Left-footed and operating off right-hand side, Bowen would be a direct replacement for the outgoing Salah.

Proven Premier League experience makes Bowen a relatively risk-free transfer and given West Ham suffered relegation to the Championship, the 29-year-old could be available for an enticing fee.

At that age, Bowen would clearly be a signing for the here and now but, with a very high floor, he almost guarantees a certain performance level week in, week out.

Bradley Barcola

Paris Saint-Germain winger Bradley Barcola would be an extremely exciting addition to the Premier League and it looks like he could be on the move.

Various reports have linked the Frenchman with a move away from the Parc de Princes with Arsenal and Liverpool reportedly showing an interest.

The stars rarely align to put a player of Barcola's profile and quality on the market, however, the sheer depth that PSG possess in and around his position means that he isn't afforded the game time that his talent warrants.

Yankuba Minteh

Although a move for Yankuba Minteh might appear slightly left field, at just 21, he has outstanding potential given what he has already achieved.

The former Feyenoord loanee has put up 4,252 Premier League minutes for Brighton since making the move to the South Coast and played more minutes than any winger aged 22 or younger last season.

Seven goals and assists was slight regression on the numbers he accounted for the season prior, however, the fact that he managed to put up double-digit goal contributions as a 20-year-old in England's top-flight speaks volumes about his ability.

Kenan Yildiz

Similarly to Diomande, top clubs all around Europe look to be taking dead aim to Juventus winger Kenan Yildiz this summer.

Injuries limited his time on the pitch at the back end of the campaign but the form he showed prior to his time on the sidelines attests to his talent.

He provided 10 goals and six assists in Serie A last season was a clear improvement on anything he has managed before; exciting given the levels he hit during his early days in Turin.

Should Yildiz shine for Turkey at the World Cup this summer then his signature will command a handsome fee.
