Liverpool 8-0 Besiktas (6th November 2007)
The first team in UEFA Champions League history to win by eight goals was Liverpool against Besiktas back in 2007. Not six months after reaching the UEFA Champions League final in which they'd lose 2-0 to Milan, Liverpool went on the hunt again, annihilating the Turkish side in the following season's group stage.
Amassing a whopping 28 shots, the Reds held a 2-0 lead at half-time before flipping the switch in the second half. Yossi Benayoun would complete his hat-trick to make it 4-0 before the hour, with Steven Gerrard making it 5-0 after 69 minutes. Three goals in a 10-minute spell late on from Ryan Babel and Peter Crouch would see Liverpool run out 8-0 winners.
Real Madrid 8-0 Malmo (8th December 2015)
Although Real Madrid had already topped Group A with a game to spare, Rafael Benitez - who guided Liverpool to their record-breaking 8-0 win eight years earlier - would field a full side at home to Swedish minnows Malmo.
A first-half brace from Karim Benzema and one from Cristiano Ronaldo had Real out of sight by the break, but there was plenty more to come. Ronaldo would complete his hat-trick shortly after the break, adding a fourth before the hour mark. Mateo Kovacic would make it seven before Benzema would complete his own hat-trick on the 74th minute as the Spanish giants completed the rout.
