Sheffield Wednesday remain under the tutelage of interim boss Matt Hamshaw as they prepare to welcome Blackpool to Hillsborough on Sunday.
The Owls dispensed with Henrik Pedersen following consecutive 2-0 losses against Notts County and Doncaster Rovers after they had made a solid start to life in League One.
Blackpool are sliding down the table after a decent start and the Tangerines may leave Sheffield empty-handed.

Best Bet: Sheffield Wednesday to Win & Both Teams to Score @ 21/10
Sheffield Wednesday and interim boss Hamshaw can bag a first win in four games but it may not be straightforward with just one clean sheet in five.
They led here last time through Hull City loanee Mason Burstow but were pegged back by Cambridge United in a 1-1 draw.
Blackpool have just one win in eight League One attempts and were beaten 4-1 at Mansfield Town most recently.
These sides haven't met on league duty since 2015, though Wednesday did win an EFL Cup clash at Bloomfield Road in September 2024.
Despite their recent struggles, Wednesday are scoring goals with 21 bagged in 13 league games. Blackpool have scored 16 times in the league, more than any side in the bottom 10 going into the weekend.
Sheffield Wednesday are unbeaten in five at home in the league and can get another win in a high-scoring game.
Alternative Bet: Blackpool +2 Corner Handicap @ 10/11
The visitors are a decent shout with a handicap of two in their favour to win the corner count. There were 17 corners in the draw with Cambridge and the visitors dominated with 11 of those.
Before that, Wednesday lost the corner count 9-5 at Doncaster and 4-0 at Notts County. They were 5-0 winners against AFC Wimbledon previous to that but the visitors had twice as many corners.
Blackpool have taken 25 corners across their last four League 1 games and can make the handicap count.
Continuing on that theme, the sides should make it into double figures on flag kicks. Wednesday's league games average 11.67 while for Blackpool that figure is 12.73 per game.
A high-scoring encounter is very possible. Blackpool were 3-2 winners in the EFL Trophy in midweek, while before that there were five goals scored in the loss to Mansfield. Two of the Owls' last five League 1 games have featured at least four goals.
The hosts will be without Jamal Lowe, who serves the final match of his suspension, one of their leading sources of goals.
In his absence, Callum Slattery can step up again. The summer signing from Motherwell has three goals and two assists in 11 league games since moving to south Yorkshire.
He had four shots in the draw with Cambridge last time, while setting up Burstow for the opening goal of that contest. Slattery is getting into shooting positions regularly and can contribute again.
