Frankel is now 17 years old and made his racecourse debut at Newmarket on 13th August 2010.
Frankel's debut is regarded as one of the highest-quality maidens ever run.
He defeated subsequent Group 1 winner Nathaniel and Group 3 winner Genius Beast in impressive fashion at Newmarket.
His promise was clearly abundant from this debut and he delivered on that, rattling off three wins from his next three races to end his two-year-old season as just about the most exciting talent across the globe.
The Greenham was earmarked at the starting point at three and he made no mistake by beating Excelebration in preparation for a crack at the 2000 Guineas.
In one of the most iconic displays ever seen on the track, Frankel shot 10 lengths clear at the halfway point, putting the field to the sword to land his one and only Classic win.
The St James' Palace Stakes at Royal Ascot came next before a 'Duel of the Downs' against the outstanding Canford Cliffs.
It was a race that had a box office build-up but Frankel yet again asserted his dominance to storm home by five lengths.
Fans of Frankel were then made to wait 90 days to see their star next, but the wait was more than worth it as his performance in the QEII at Ascot earned him the highest mark handed out by Timeform in over 40 years.
Anticipation built ahead of Frankel's four-year-old season as a step up in distance seemed highly likely.
He would, however, continue at a mile for his first three starts at four.
Facing off against old foe Excelebration, Frankel won both the Lockinge and Queen Anne before returning to Goodwood to notch a second Sussex Stakes victory.
Next up came the all-important hike in distance as he lined up in the Juddmonte International, still going off a well-backed 1/10F.
Frankel made no mistake.
He loomed up alongside the field with three furlongs to run, putting his stamina doubts to bed to record a mesmerising win.
Ahead of the Champion Stakes it had been confirmed that it would be Frankel's final racecourse performance leading to a crowd of 32,000 in attendance to cheer him home.
An uncharacteristic slow start contributed to a nervy start to but he soon stamped his authority on the race, defeating Cirrus Des Aigles to land an unprecedented 14th win from 14 starts.
Frankel is owned by Juddmonte Farms.
Now standing at Banstead Manor Stud, he commands a fee of £350,000 and is one of the best stallions of all-time.
Frankel was trained by the legendary Sir Henry Cecil.
Cecil was a 10-time British Flat Racing Champion Trainer.
Frankel was awarded a peak rating of 140 after victory in the Queen Anne Stakes at Royal Ascot.
His perfect record earned him £2,998,302 in prize money.
