A release clause has been revealed for Egyptian World Cup star Haissem Hassan, amid interest from Scottish Premiership champions Celtic.
Celtic, who narrowly won the Scottish Premiership title on the final day last season, have been active in the transfer market so far as they look to build on the success under Martin O'Neill.
One of the long list of players linked with a move to Celtic Park is Egyptian World Cup hero Haissem Hassan, who has firmly thrusted himself into a strong position for a summer transfer with his performances this summer.
According to The Herald, Hassan, who currently plays for Real Oviedo, has a £10m release clause in his contract.
This is as a result of the Spanish side's relegation from La Liga last campaign, which has seen his release clause drop from the original figure of £16m.
Therefore, a transfer from Oviedo's point of view would be a worst case scenario this summer, especially considering that Hassan's former club Villareal are said to be due 40% of any transfer fee.
Hassan shot onto the scene at this summer's showpiece tournament, despite only playing in Egypt's two knockout stage matches, with his sensational assist against Argentina giving The Pharaohs a 2-0 advantage over the defending champions.
His performance across that match has made football spectators take note of his abilities, with a number of clubs reportedly interested in securing his services.
A former France youth international, Hassan has established himself as a regular for Egypt since making his debut in March of this year, featuring six times for his country so far.
A 24 year-old right winger with a creative eye, Hassan has laid on 20 assists for his various clubs across his short career so far.
The Hoops aren't alone in their interest in the Egyptian star, with Fiorentina and Trabzonspor also linked with a move for the Oviedo man.
