One of the most anticipated games of the 2026 World Cup group stage will take place on Friday night as Norway face France at the Boston Stadium.

A stuttering start against Senegal last Tuesday led to some suggestions that Les Blues were no longer the dominant force that reached back-to-back finals but an imperious second-half performance quickly put any doubts to rest as they ran out 3-1 winners.
Kylian Mbappe netted twice in that game, and followed that up with a hat-trick in a 3-0 win over Iraq to put France top of their group and place himself in pole position in the race to claim the Golden Boot.
On Friday night Mbappe and Haaland will go head to head, with both France and Norway looking to claim bragging rights and finish as the Group I leader.
