EFL Round Three draw results in full

The third round draw of the EFL Cup has been made.

Clubs up and down the country anxiously awaited their fate as nine Premier League sides joined the 23 teams that made it through to the third round.

Due to the European commitments of the teams joining the competition at this stage the EFL announced this week that additional conditions would need to be implemented to avoid fixture clashes.

As a result, the teams playing in the UEFA Champions League and Europa League were placed in a separate spot for the draw and were unable to matched against each other at this stage.

Unlike the first and second rounds of the EFL Cup, the third round is not split into regionalised north and south sections.

Fixtures in Round Three are expected to be played over the course of two different weeks. They are the weeks commencing Monday 7th, and Monday 14th September, 2026.
