Atlanta Falcons v Baltimore Ravens Prediction, Tips and Bet Builder

Baltimore Ravens gained a 24-18 victory over Tennessee Titans last week, but the victory came at a price as quarterback Lamar Jackson came out of the game with an injury.

It is yet unknown just how damaging his absence will be, but it means they face a difficult road trip to Atlanta to take on the Falcons, who have scored 80 points in their last two NFL matches following a pair of defeats.

Atlanta Falcons v Baltimore Ravens Prediction

Best Bet: Atlanta Falcons -3.5 @ 1/1

The Ravens will field Tyler Huntley under centre in Jackson's absence and it has to be a concern that he was unable to generate a second-half point against the Titans.

Baltimore have won five of the 11 games in which he has deputised for their talisman, so he is no lost cause, but he will not be helped by the fact that Atlanta have restricted their opponents to an average of just 2.7 yards per rushing attempt in their opening four matches.

That is by far the best record in the NFL and, while running back Derrick Henry is prolific, he will be hard pushed to do it all on his own.

The Falcons have emerged from two opening defeats to post a total of 80 points in victories over Green Bay Packers and New Orleans Saints, so there is a strong chance they will rise to the Sunday Night Football occasion and cover a 3.5-point spread.

Alternative Bet: Mark Andrews over 39.5 receiving yards @ 29/20

The pressure will be on Huntley to move the ball quickly and, with the Ravens wary of the Falcons' ability against the run, that could mean they utilise the tight-end option extensively.

Consequently, Mark Andrews, who had five receptions against the Titans, could be in for a busy evening.

He registered 49 yards in the 41-23 win over Indianapolis Colts and in the 24-17 loss to New Orleans and he can gain at least 40 in Sunday's clash.

Atlanta Falcons v Baltimore Ravens Bet Builder Tip

  • Derrick Henry to score a touchdown

  • Under 43.5 points

  • Bijan Robinson over 88.5 rushing yards

    Pays 35/4

While the Falcons are excellent against the run, it is difficult to ignore that Henry has scored 13 touchdowns in his last seven outings and he should still get opportunities to add to that impressive tally.

He looks bound to be heavily involved and it is possible that with both teams heavily utilising the ground game the clock will keep ticking, so it seems realistic that the game will not generate many points.

It should also be noted that five of the last six meetings have failed to exceed the total-points line.

Also expect another telling contribution from Atlanta's Bijan Robinson, who rushed for a total of 339 yards in his last two outings against the Packers and the Saints.

He scored two touchdowns on both occasions and should earn more than 88 yards on the ground in Georgia.
