Baltimore Ravens fans will be sweating as they await the result of Lamar Jackson's ankle scan.
The 29-year-old saw his game prematurely ended after completing 15 of his 20 attempted passes, throwing for 222 yards and two touchdowns before being replaced by backup Tyler Huntley.
The former Cleveland Browns and Miami Dolphins rookie went eight from nine for 63 yards as he helped see out a 24-18 win to extend the Ravens' winning record to 3-1.
However, despite the result, there is an undoubted air of concern sweeping around Baltimore after Jackson was pictured departing the M&T Bank Stadium in an air boot after landing awkwardly following a heavy sack from defensive end Jermaine Johnson II in the second quarter.
As speculation surfaces surrounding his potential prognosis, we take a look at how long the two-time NFL MVP could be sidelined for.
When is Lamar Jackson expected to return from injury?
Jackson's decision not to withdraw from the game immediately after suffering the injury could prove to haunt him.
The 29-year-old valiantly soldiered on after being heavily hit in the second quarter, but failed to return following the half-time interval.
Head coach Jesse Minter was unable to divulge too much information regarding the injury during his post-match press conference, instead confirming the player would need to undergo a scan.
"I don't know the chances yet," of Jackson participating for the Ravens against the Atlanta Falcons on Sunday.
"I don't think it's going to be crazy long-term, but we will see."
This weekend's clash with the Ravens is followed hot-on-the-heels by a couple of key fixtures with their AFC North rivals, the Cleveland Browns and Cincinnati Bengals.
The fact that Jackson was pictured in an ankle protection boot suggests that he will likely be ruled out of their next game, with the hope of him being available to feature in that hugely important showdown in Cleveland a week later.
