London mayoral election odds: Laila Cunningham favourite

Take a look at the latest odds for the 2028 London mayoral election.

Set to be held on 4th May 2028, incumbent Sadiq Khan is yet to declare whether he'll stand for a fourth term.

London mayoral elections have been dominated by Labour since the position was introduced in 2000. Ken Livingstone, who initially stood as an independent, won in 2000 and 2004 before Boris Johnson assumed the role in 2008 and 2012.

Khan has since won three elections in a row but has refused to given any strong indications as to whether or not he'll step down.

As such, Khan is the second favourite in the market behind Laila Cunningham. Cunningham defected from the Conservatives to Reform UK in June 2025 and is set to stand as the party's candidate in the 2028 election.

Should Khan step down, Labour MP Dawn Butler may be selected to represent the party, having been the representative for Brent South and Brent East since 2005 and acting as advisor to Livingstone during his stint as mayor.

Mayor of Hackney, Zoe Garbett, is fourth favourite and may be selected as the Green Party's Candidate, with James Cleverly currently the shortest priced Conservative at 16/1.
