Take a look at the latest odds for the Clacton by-election following Nigel Farage's resignation.
Farage announced his resignation in a statement made at 14:00 BST on Tuesday 7th July as well as his intention to re-stand for parliament under the Reform UK banner.
The move comes following increased scrutiny around payments made to the party leader, including a £5m gift which it has been alleged was not properly declared.
As such, Farage is being investigated by the Commons and could be suspended from parliament, potentially leading to another by-election. The investigation will be dropped while Farage is not an MP but will be restarted if he's re-elected.
The constituency of Clacton was established in 2010 from Harwich, which had primarily voted Conservative for the previous 50 years, with the exception of Labour in 1997.
With sitting MP Douglas Carswell's defection from the Conservatives to UKIP in 2014, the seat changed hands at the by-election, then represented by the independent Carswell before the Tories' Giles Watling was elected in 2017.
The seat then changed hands to Reform at the 2024 general election, with the Tories losing nearly 19,000 votes. Farage won with 46.2% of the votes to the Conservatives' 27.9% with Labour third on 16.2%.
Odds will display when market is available.
The move from Farage to clear his name in the court of public opinion already appears to have backfired, with rival parties refusing to stand candidates and suggesting they'll do so in the 'second by-election', implying Farage will be suspended when -- if -- he returns as an MP, triggering a new by-election.
It means that, as things stand, Count Binface is Farage's only challenger.
