Leicester have reportedly joined the race to sign wantaway Wrexham goalkeeper Arthur Okonkwo this summer.
Okonkwo was Wrexham's No 1 as they secured successive promotions from League Two to the Championship but has found himself surplus to requirements in North Wales.
Anthony Patterson arrived at the Racecourse Ground from Sunderland in a deal worth £8million earlier this month, and the former England youth international started between the sticks in the club's 1-1 draw with Cardiff City on Monday night.
Absent from the squad for the club's Championship opener was Okonkwo and reports suggest that the Nigeria international will depart for pastures new before the transfer window slams shut.
According to French outlet Foot Mercato, both Leicester and Charlton Athletic are interested in securing a deal for Okonkwo this summer.
Charlton are said to have enquired over potentially taking the goalkeeper in on loan, but Wrexham are said to prefer a permanent sale.
Meanwhile Leicester are also interested in Okonkwo, despite the fact that the club have already signed two goalkeepers this summer.
Veteran shot-stopper Alex McCarthy arrived at the King Power Stadium on a free transfer last month after spending a decade at Southampton.
The former England international started between the sticks in Leicester's League One opener on Saturday as the Foxes were held to a 1-1 draw by Notts County.
Meanwhile Franco Ravizzoli joined from Blackpool, but the Argentine was not part of the squad for their league opener.
As such, there appears to still be a real possibility that Leicester look to add yet another additional to their goalkeeping department in the coming days.
Okonkwo - who graduated from Arsenal's academy without ever representing the Gunners at senior level - is entering the final year of his contract in North Wales and would likely be an affordable option for a League One side.
