Leicester City are hoping to keep hold of winger Stephy Mavididi this summer, but reports suggest a number of clubs are still considering a bid in the coming weeks.
The 28-year-old has spent the last three seasons with the Foxes, originally joining from Montpellier in 2023.
Mavididi made an immediate impact as he scored 12 goals to help Leicester back into the Premier League, but he has struggled in the last few campaigns.
The tricky wideman has only scored seven league goals since the start of the 2024 campaign, despite making 72 appearances across the Premier League and Championship.
Leicester's relegation to League One has not helped the club's chances of keeping him and they have already sold Abdul Fatawu, Bilal El Khannouss, and Jeremy Monga this summer.
New manager Russell Martin started Mavididi in last weekend's 1-0 success over Northampton in the EFL Cup, but recent reports suggest he may have still played his last game for the club.
Middlesbrough
After narrowly missing out on promotion last season, Middlesbrough are looking to bolster their squad and Football League World claims Boro have entered the race to snap up Mavididi in the next few weeks.
Boro chief Kim Hellberg has already added Will Lanskhear, Max Arfsten, Kyle Joseph, and Jeremy Sarmiento to his forward options this summer, but the Teesside club may feel that they could sanction a deal for a lower fee due to Leicester's relegation.
Middlesbrough would have one of the best squads in the second tier if they could sanction a deal for Mavididi and it would be a real show of intent from the Boro board.
Rangers
Scottish journalist Mark Hendry suggested last month that Rangers were looking to do a deal for Mavididi before competition for his signature picked up.
Hendry suggested positive discussions had taken place between Rangers and Leicester and the Scottish giants have set a fee of £7million for his signature.
For now, Rangers have cooled their interest, but their slow start to the season may force them back into the transfer market, as could their potential Europa League qualification.
Derby County
Back in May, it was reported that Derby had hoped to capitalise on Leicester's demise with an offer for their experienced winger.
SportsBoom suggested weeks ago that Leicester had offered Mavididi's services to other Championship suitors.
Derby have signed Bobby Clark and Filip Bilbija this summer, but both lack the experience that Mavididi would provide if he moved to Pride Park.
One issue for Derby is that their recent takeover collapsed.
Saudi Arabia government official Turki Alalshikh confirmed he had abandoned his takeover deal on Monday, which may mean the Rams struggle to fund the deal for Leicester's playmaker.
Watford
In the same article that linked Derby to Mavididi, SportBoom suggest Watford were another club that were considering a move before the window shuts.
The club's owners have hired Alessio Dionisi as their new manager after another chaotic campaign at Vicarage Road, but they have added eight new faces to their squad.
However, none of those new additions plays out wide in midfield, meaning Watford may still be able to offer Mavididi the first-team football he will expect if he leaves the King Power Stadium.
Last summer, Mavididi was reportedly wanted by Atalanta, Bologna, and Villarreal, but last season's disappointing performances in what was a year to forget for Leicester may have cost him a move abroad.
