Often labelled the 'richest game in football' due to the financial rewards on offer for reaching the Premier League, the Championship play-offs are filled with drama year on year.
The final day of the season saw Hull secure the final spot and they host Millwall on Friday in a semi-final first leg clash.
Middlesbrough will then host form-team Southampton at the Riverside on Saturday afternoon.

Sunderland are the most recent side to gain entry to the Premier League via the play-offs, running out 2-1 winners against Sheffield United in a dramatic game at Wembley.
Tommy Watson - who had already agreed to join Brighton the following season - guided a late winner into the far corner to return the Black Cats to the top-flight for the first time in nine years.
In the years prior to that, Luton had won the play-off final to reach the Premier League for the first time in their history and Nottingham Forest ended their own top division hiatus.
Brentford, Fulham and Aston Villa have all managed to retain their Premier League status in the years since play-off promotion and, as with three games remaining this season, all have decent chances to finish inside the top half.
Huddersfield, Hull and Norwich haven't been as successful, however. The Canaries have bounced between the leagues in the time since their play-off win and Huddersfield have just finished ninth in League One.
Although, it could all change for Hull when they get this season's play-offs underway at the end of the week.
